Domhnall Gleeson: $7 million (£5.1m)

Irish actors Domhnall and Brendan Gleeson have both appeared in the Harry Potter movie franchise, with the former playing Bill Weasley and his father playing Mad-Eye Moody.
Domhnall now boasts a net worth that is around $3 million (£2.2m) more than his famous father's, with the younger Gleeson worth an estimated $7 million (£5.1m).
Domhnall starred in a number of smaller projects before getting his big break in 2010, when he starred in Never Let Me Go alongside Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan. His Harry Potter role followed shortly afterwards, and he hasn't looked back since.

Domhnall also appeared as General Hux in the Star Wars franchise, and played Winnie the Pooh author A. A. Milne in Goodbye Christopher Robin as well as Thomas McGregor in Peter Rabbit.
Domhnall has continued to work with his father and his younger brother Brian, who's also an actor, on a variety of stage and screen shows. Domhnall is pictured on the left alongside his father in one such project.
Rufus Wainwright: $10 million (£7.3m)

Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright just about out-earns his father, with his net worth rumoured to be sitting around the $10 million (£7.3m) mark. By contrast, his father, the country musician Loudon Wainwright III, has a reported net worth of $8 million (£5.9m).
With his mother Kate McGarrigle also a folk singer, Rufus's musical talent was perhaps inevitable. His gift became obvious as a teenager and he released his eponymous studio album in 1998. He is one of a handful of musicians to have braved releasing new music during the pandemic – his tenth studio album titled Unfollow the Rules came out in July 2020.

In addition to being an acclaimed contemporary pop singer, Rufus has also made his mark in the world of classical music. His first opera Prima Donna was premiered in Manchester in 2009 and his second, Hadrian, was unveiled in Toronto in 2018.
Despite marking his 50th anniversary in showbiz this year, Loudon's career seems somewhat narrower by comparison. He has dabbled with acting, having appeared in three episodes of M*A*S*H, as well as in movies including Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin (Loudon is pictured here.)
Matthew Healy: $15 million (£11m)

Matthew "Matty" Healy is said to be worth $15 million (£11m) thanks to his role as lead vocalist in the pop-rock band The 1975. That's a considerably higher net worth than the rumoured $2 million (£1.5m) net worth of his mother, the actress and TV presenter Denise Welch. His father, the actor Tim Healy, fares better, with a net worth of around $5 million (£3.8m).
The four members of The 1975 met when students at school in Cheshire, England, close to where Healy and his family lived.

The 1975, so named after Healy found the words "1 June, The 1975" on the back of a beat poetry book, put out four EPs before releasing their self-titled album in 2013. It went straight to number one in the UK charts and has since gone platinum.
Every album that the band has released since has reached number one on the UK charts and Healy and his bandmates have also enjoyed success around the world. His mother (pictured) is arguably most famous for her time on long-running UK soap Coronation Street, while his father has starred in shows including Benidorm and Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.
Zooey Deschanel: $25 million (£18.4m)

Former New Girl star Zooey Deschanel was thought to have a net worth of around $4 million (£2.9m) in 2014. Fast-forward to 2022, however, and she now has a reported worth of around $25 million (£18.4m).
Her father Caleb is a cinematographer while her mother Mary Jo is an actress, so it was perhaps written in the stars that Zooey would move into showbiz. After securing a supporting role in Almost Famous in 2000, Deschanel went on to become famous for starring in films such as Elf and (500) Days of Summer.

Deschanel has also seen some success as a singer, teaming up with M. Ward to form indie-pop group She & Him. Their most recent album, Christmas Party, was released in 2016.
In addition, the multi-talented artist was one of the co-founders of female-first entertainment website Hello Giggles, which was acquired by Time, Inc. in 2015 for "in the range" of $20 million ($24m/£18m in today's money).
All these projects have contributed to her having a significantly higher net worth than her Academy Award-nominated father Caleb (pictured), who is rumoured to be worth $10 million (£7.7m).
Emma Thompson: $40 million (£29.4m)

Emma Thompson is one of the UK's most accomplished actors and screenwriters, with an estimated net worth of $40 million (£29.4m). Some sources suggest her fortune could actually be as high as $64 million (£47.4m).
The daughter of Phyllida Law, who is also an accomplished actor, Thompson has won numerous accolades over the years, including Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and a BAFTA. She has starred in everything from Howard's End and Sense and Sensibility to Love Actually and Cruella, and is one of the UK's most beloved actors.

Thompson has appeared on-screen with her mother in a number of films, including Peter's Friends and Much Ado About Nothing.
But neither Thompson's mother nor her younger sister – the Four Weddings and a Funeral actress Sophie Thompson (pictured left, with Phyllida in the centre, and Emma on the right) – have been anywhere near as financially successful as Emma. Law has an estimated net worth of $1.4 million (£1m).

Jake Gyllenhaal made his acting debut as a child in 1991 Western comedy City Slickers, going on to play the lead character in October Sky (1999) before landing the title role in 2001's cult classic Donnie Darko, which also starred his sister Maggie.
As of 2022, Jake is rumoured to be worth around $65 million (£47.8m), with some sources suggesting his total fortune could actually be worth closer to $80 million (£58.9m). Either way, his bank balance is considerably larger than that of his father Stephen, who is a movie director and poet.

Stephen Gyllenhaal, meanwhile, has a rumoured net worth of $10 million (£7.5m). He is an award-nominated movie director for flicks including Paris Trout and Family of Spies, and has also directed episodes of shows such as The Mentalist and Numb3rs. In 2006, his first poetry anthology was published.

With Bill Hudson and Goldie Hawn as her parents, you could say that Kate was destined to be on-screen.

He has appeared on-screen with his son three times: in 1983 comedy-drama Max Dugan Returns, in 1996 legal drama A Time To Kill, and in the 2015 Western movie Forsaken.

Despite a longer career, Voight has a decidedly smaller fortune, estimated at between $45 million (£33m) and $55 million (£40.3m).

Films such as 2003's Sylvia, in which she appeared alongside Danner, fall into the first category, while 2001 comedy flick Shallow Hal is firmly in the latter.
When she's not acting, Paltrow focuses on her successful lifestyle brand Goop, although it has been slammed by experts for its promotion of "pseudoscience". That said, the brand and Paltrow's wealth continue to grow, with Netflix premiering The Goop Lab – a docuseries exploring alternative wellness treatments and topics – at the beginning of 2020. The series was nominated for various awards, including two Critics Choice Real TV Awards.

More recently, Simpson released her memoir, Open Book, in January 2020, and it reached number one in the New York Times Best Seller list.
